Daphne’s lavender farm is an absolute hotspot during a visit in Carmel Valley or on a trip down the coast. The rooms are cozy and you can sit with a Glas of wine on the porch and have a beautiful view over the fields of lavender in the mountains. To talk with Daphne is a pleasure and she is very helpful. “If you are seeking a unique, quiet, calming experience in the Carmel Valley area, look no further. To describe this Lavender Farm as “charming” is an understatement. The wrap-around porch on this beautiful farmhouse provides ample and comfortable outdoor space to enjoy stunning mountain vistas. The spacious room with vaulted ceilings is appointed with high quality furnishings including a very comfortable king sized bed, beautiful flooring and all the usual amenities such as microwave and mini-fridge. The walls are adorned with beautiful original oil paintings by Daphne, which you will also find in a local art gallery in Carmel Valley. In the bathroom we were delighted to discover a gorgeous hammered copper sink. The charming light fixtures overhead are made of mason jars. Daphne provides samples of her delicious Carmel Caramels which she makes with the organic lavender grown on the farm. She also provides a sachet of her lavender, and because we were there in June we were treated to the most wonderful scents wafting through the air, as the lavender fields were blooming! The location is a perfect blend of mountain beauty and close enough proximity to the Pacific. “Daphne’s house is in the most gorgeous setting, surrounded by mountains and vineyards. The guest suite is spacious and comfy, and we were serenaded by owls and coyotes at night. We loved her homemade lavender caramels! She is a lovely person and we loved meeting her husky, Ziggy. Great food nearby at Cafe Rustica. “We stayed one night at Daphne’s place during our trip down the California coast. As soon as we stepped onto this property, we wished we were staying so much longer! The pictures do not do this place justice. It is absolutely beautiful and Daphne was an amazing host. The place is stocked with anything you may need and her lavender caramels are INCREDIBLE. It truly brought tears to my eyes seeing the sunset from the porch. It may sound dramatic, but it’s absolutely true. I would recommend this place to anyone.” Janet from Cleveland, OH
Charmant Airbnb dans un cadre calme et bucolique. Nous avons été accueillies par Daphné qui nous a fait faire le tour du logement avant de nous donner quelques adresses locales. Comme indiqué dans l’annonce : Muffins faits maison, yaourt et café nous attendaient pour le petit déjeuner. Nous avons apprécié les petites attentions de Daphné comme le petit sachet de lavande ou les caramels. Nous avons profité du balcon pour observer les étoiles … N’hésitez pas à y faire une halte, le coin est très joli et la chambre en elle même grande, propre et bien équipée (le lit est très confortable !).
