Daphne, an award-winning painter, instructs students how to paint outdoors. Beginners and experienced painters are both welcome. Emphasis will be placed on composition of your painting, drawing, mixing colors, how to paint nature and objects that you see in front of you in both the background and the foreground, and how to capture natural light. Daphne specializes in oil painting but those who paint with acrylic, water colors, and pastels are welcome too. Class size limited to 12 students.

In the winter, Daphne  teaches realistic still life painting in her art studio at the lavender farm. Students learn the elements of composition, drawing, observation of colors with color mixing, and how to observe light, reflections, and shadows. Class size limited to 8 students.
